Francisco Sousa Coutinho carries out his activity with a special focus on real estate transactions, real estate development projects, and construction and urban planning activities. Before joining Proença de Carvalho, Francisco was Director in charge of the Real Estate Department at PwC Legal, Managing Associate at the Real Estate Department at Vieira de Almeida, and had previously worked at Teixeira Duarte and Garrigues.

Francisco has extensive experience in Real Estate and Urban Planning law, specialising in legal due diligence of real estate assets, acquisitions, sale, sale and lease back operations, real estate portfolios and SPV’s (asset and share deals), lease agreements and other contracts for the use of real estate properties, construction contracts, development, design and management of real estate, real estate financing and guarantee packages, structuring of investment vehicles and funds, acquisition, development and operational structuring of housing, commercial, logistics and tourist developments, and advice on all the permits and licenses required for the construction and operation of real estate investments.

Francisco is a certified trainer and has conducted courses related to his area of expertise, such as the Real Estate Law module of the Post-Graduation in Real Estate Management and Evaluation at ISEG or the Executive M&A Course Legal Module from Universidade Católica do Porto Business School.
